Spanish Garlic Shrimp

This Spanish Garlic Shrimp recipe is one of my favorite ways to make shrimp! It is a great low carb tapa or an entire meal.

Ingredients

  • 5 T butter
  • 10 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1/3 cup sherry
  • 1 lb raw shrimp (peeled / deveined)
  • ½ teas paprika
  • ½ teas smoked paprika
  • ½ teas chili powder
  • ½ teas coarse black pepper
  • ½ teas sea salt
  • Handful of fresh cilantro chopped
  • Juice of 2 small lemons

Instructions

  1. Over medium heat, in a large skillet, melt butter.

  2. Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes (while stirring often – be sure not to burn the garlic).

  3. Then add sherry and let it reduce for about 1-2 minutes.

  4. Reduce heat to medium low, add shrimp, paprika, smoked paprika, chili powder, black pepper, salt and cook for about5 minutes (or until shrimp is fully cooked) * while occasionally stirring.

  5. Add lemon juice, cilantro and stir.

  6. Remove from heat and serve.
