This long hot pepper recipe is a delicious and spicy low carb appetizer. This recipe only requires 4 ingredients and is perfect to serve to your friends who like spicy food.
Pre-heat oven to 400
Line a baking sheet with tin foil and spray with cooking spray
Cut tops and bottoms off the peppers**
Cut each pepper down the middle and remove seeds**
Cut the peppers into halves or thirds depending on how long they are (should be 2-inch pieces)
Place peppers on the prepared baking sheet
Put a piece of prosciutto in each pepper piece (use long and narrow pieces of prosciutto so the ends hang outside of the pepper)
Then stuff each pepper piece with cheese
Flip the ends of the prosciutto that were hanging outside of the pepper over the cheese to secure.
Roast the stuffed peppers for about 20 minutes
Remove the baking sheet from the oven
Squeeze the juice of the lemon over the peppers
Serve / enjoy!
