Broccoli Tahini

Broccoli Tahini – Broccoli Recipes | Healthy Eats by Jennie

I had a lot of broccoli to use, so I wanted to come up with one of the best broccoli recipes. It was also one of those nights when my evening commute was full of bad traffic, so I also wanted to do something quick and easy. I was very happy with how this turned out and Jimmy loved it! Very flavorful!

Broccoli Ingredients:

  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 T olive oil
  • ¼ teas salt
  • 1 teas cumin
  • 1 teas turmeric
  • ½ teas crushed red peppers
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped

Tahini Ingredients:

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Handful of cilantro leaves
  • 1/3 cup tahini (sesame paste)
  • ½ cup water
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • ¾ teas cumin
  • ½ teas salt

Broccoli Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, broccoli, and garlic
  3. Mix salt, cumin, turmeric, crushed red pepper in a small bowl
  4. Then add to broccoli mixture bowl and combine
  5. On a baking sheet lined with foil, spread out the broccoli
  6. Cook in oven for 15 minutes (taking it out halfway through to toss)

Tahini Directions:

  1. In a food processor, chop garlic and cilantro
  2. Then add all remaining ingredients until well combined

Notes:
You can simply dip the broccoli in the tahini or this can be served in a bowl along with rice, peppers and onions as shown in the picture.
