I had a lot of broccoli to use, so I wanted to come up with one of the best broccoli recipes. It was also one of those nights when my evening commute was full of bad traffic, so I also wanted to do something quick and easy. I was very happy with how this turned out and Jimmy loved it! Very flavorful!
Broccoli Ingredients:
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 T olive oil
- ¼ teas salt
- 1 teas cumin
- 1 teas turmeric
- ½ teas crushed red peppers
- 4 cloves garlic chopped
Tahini Ingredients:
- 2 cloves garlic
- Handful of cilantro leaves
- 1/3 cup tahini (sesame paste)
- ½ cup water
- Juice of 2 lemons
- ¾ teas cumin
- ½ teas salt
Broccoli Directions:
- Preheat oven to 450
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, broccoli, and garlic
- Mix salt, cumin, turmeric, crushed red pepper in a small bowl
- Then add to broccoli mixture bowl and combine
- On a baking sheet lined with foil, spread out the broccoli
- Cook in oven for 15 minutes (taking it out halfway through to toss)
Tahini Directions:
- In a food processor, chop garlic and cilantro
- Then add all remaining ingredients until well combined
Notes:
You can simply dip the broccoli in the tahini or this can be served in a bowl along with rice, peppers and onions as shown in the picture.
